Justin Virzi, of our West Palm Beach office, is actively involved in the re-expansion of the Palm Beach County Youth Court (Juvenile First Offender Program), a pre-trial diversion program created in 1995 that combines rehabilitation for first-time juvenile offenders with hands-on legal education for student attorneys and jurors.
Justin helps coordinate the program’s revival by recruiting volunteer attorneys, organizing monthly sessions, and mentoring students during hearings. Youth Court proceedings function solely as sentencing hearings, with student attorneys arguing appropriate sanctions under the guidance of volunteer attorneys.
