Kimberly A. Matot focuses her practice on automobile and motorized vehicles, premises liability, and bad faith and claims assistance.
Prior to joining the Kubicki Draper team, Kimberly gained vast experience representing clients in both the criminal and civil courtrooms throughout the State of Florida. She started her legal career proudly serving the citizens of Hillsborough County as an Assistant State Attorney, where she handled a variety of cases ranging from second degree misdemeanors to life felonies with various enhancements. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, she focused her career on civil litigation, representing national lending institutions in real estate and foreclosure matters. Kimberly’s blended background of criminal prosecution and defense, as well as civil litigation experience, assist her in evaluating cases for unique methods of resolution. Through the years, she has tried over twenty-five cases to jury verdict and over one hundred bench trials. After graduating from Eckerd College, Kimberly earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, she was selected to represent Stetson as an Ambassador, and was awarded the Stetson Ambassador Spirit Award for her dedication and enthusiasm to the program and Stetson. Kimberly returns to Stetson annually to volunteer her time for various competitions.
In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling the world, volunteering for her local Elks Club and V.F.W. Auxiliary, playing sports, and partaking in her various other hobbies.
