KD Webinar – Identifying and Defending Against Reptilian Tactics

December 1, 2021
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. EST

Presenters: Peter Baumberger, Michael Carney, Kenneth Oliver

Plaintiff attorneys use a legal strategy commonly called the “reptile theory” to obtain larger plaintiff verdicts by appealing to the primal region of jurors’ brains focused on safety and self-preservation. Reptilian theory tactics are deployed during every phase of a case – from discovery through closing argument. This course will provide an overview of the reptilian strategy, how to spot when these tactics are being used and how to defend against the tactics and create the best opportunity for success.
