In Florida, with its sunny weather and tourist industry, swimming pools generate a tremendous amount of liability claims, including slip-and-fall and falling-object claims. Various defenses, including the open and obvious doctrine, may be applicable. It is critical for carriers (and their insureds) to select defense counsel who is well-versed in litigating these cases.

This course will provide tips for evaluating these premises cases, and will review some of the critical decisions that need to be made to provide the best defense in these slippery situations.
