Donna Joy Hunter, a native Miamian, was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Her practice consists primarily of premise liability and commercial insurance defense work for private corporate clients as well as governmental and educational institution clients.
Donna graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resource Management from Florida State University. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law. While a law student, Donna served as a judicial assistant intern to United States District Judge William M. Hoeveler and later participated as a certified legal intern in the felony division of the Dade County State Attorneys’ Office. She was listed in Who's Who Among American Law Students and was on the editorial board of the University of Miami Entertainment and Sports Law Review.
Successes, years of experience and high ethical standards have contributed to Donna earning the respect of her peers and in turn an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell®.
Donna is not only committed to her clients and achieving the best possible results for them, she is committed to her community. She has participated in the Dade County Bar Associations' Put Something Back Program – Pro Bono Project and is an active supporter of the American Cancer Society. She has logged hundreds of hours in community service projects with the Boy Scouts of America ("BSA") while serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 457 located in Pinecrest, Florida. Donna is the proud parent to two Eagle Scouts, the highest achievement of rank attainable in the BSA program.
