Defense Verdict in Bicyclist vs. Automobile Collision Case

Stefanie Capps and Kristin Stocks, of the Ft. Myers office, obtained a defense verdict on liability after 17 minutes of deliberations in a bicyclist/auto accident case where the plaintiff had back surgery, $102,000.00 in medical bills, and a recommendation for neck surgery that could not occur due to a risk of blood clots. Plaintiff was attempted to be portrayed as sympathetic due to his Dementia which had progressed since his deposition was taken and was an alleged reason for his many inconsistencies that Stefanie skillfully and softly brought out during closing to avoid the risk of resentment by the jury for hammering a poor soul.
