Can It Be Done? Evaluating Judicial Authority to Expand the PFS Acceptance Period

Several recent appellate decisions have called into question whether there is a strict 30-day deadline to accept a proposal for settlement, suggesting rather that the acceptance period may be extended at a court’s discretion, thereby delaying the enforceability of the proposal.
