Zach Udell focuses his practice on defending against general liability claims with a focus on premises liability and automobile accidents. Zach believes that there is nothing more important than gaining the trust of his clients because trust is the most essential ingredient in effective communication.
Prior to joining Kubicki Draper, Zach gained extensive litigation, courtroom, and trial experience as an Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough County, Florida, where he represented thousands of clients charged with various criminal offenses, ranging from simple ordinance violations to second degree felonies. Through rigorous investigation, motion practice, client communication, and effective story telling in trial, Zach was able to successfully accomplish the goals of his clients, whether it was a negotiated plea agreement or obtaining a not guilty verdict in a jury or bench trial.
Zach also worked as an associate attorney for a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Tampa, Florida, where he litigated countless cases from inception to resolution. Although most of his experience is in defense work, working as a plaintiff’s attorney provided him valuable knowledge about the inner workings and case strategies of personal injury cases from a plaintiff’s perspective.
Zach completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, with a major in International Affairs. He then went on to pursue his dream of being trial lawyer by attending Florida International University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. As a law student, Zach was member of the FIU Trial Team where he learned to be an effective communicator and persuasive story teller.
In his spare time, Zach enjoys spending time with his fiancée and playing an occasional 18 holes of golf, even though his golf performance is less than optimal.
