Sean Burnotes has extensive experience in diverse practice areas, including transactional, alternative dispute resolution, litigation, and trials and appeals at the state and federal levels. His specialties include complex, commercial litigation, insurance defense, premises liability, negligence, professional malpractice, intellectual property, corporate governance, risk management policies and procedures, and real estate. Sean has also served as the top legal executive of a small, privately held company based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex primarily engaged in the amusement and attractions industry. Additionally, he worked in the federal judiciary as a law clerk to the Hon. Lacey A. Collier, District Judge, the Hon. James M. Hopkins, Magistrate Judge, and the Hon. Ann E. Vitunac, Magistrate Judge. This experience and training allows Sean to provide clients with robust counsel and representation on a variety of matters, ranging from fairly simple to extremely difficult, in any tribunal or proceeding.
Sean graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law, where he served as an Articles and Symposia Editor on the Stetson Law Review. Prior to law school, Sean attended Florida State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, a minor in communications, and was a four-year letterman as a student equipment manager on the football program and member of the 1993 National Championship team.
