Ryan D. Elias brings over a decade’s-worth of property and casualty insurance claim-handling knowledge and expertise to the firm’s appellate practice and complex litigation support/consulting team.
Before joining the firm in 2019, Ryan spent twelve years with one of the largest insurers in the U.S., where he honed his skills in coverage determinations, premises liability, auto negligence, fraud, and products liability. His meticulous nature and deep understanding of the law have consistently yielded positive outcomes for clients, including, among other things, final summary judgment awards for carrier-clients and significant reductions in carrier exposure during settlement negotiations.
Education
Ryan is a below-the-knee amputee who enjoys mentoring, working with, and learning from other amputees. Over the years, he has been extensively involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives, both inside and outside work. While working for his former employer, he co-founded the Miami, Florida chapter of an LGBTQ employee resource group and served as Vice-Chair of his department’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys hiking, cooking, hanging out with family (including his dogs and cats), and watching a good scary movie from time to time.
