Richard Bec focuses his practice on defending automobile negligence and bodily injury claims, representing insurers and their insureds in liability matters throughout Florida. With more than twenty years of litigation experience, Richard brings a depth of knowledge and strategic insight to every case he handles.

Prior to joining Kubicki Draper, Richard served as in-house trial counsel for a national insurance carrier, where he managed a high-volume litigation docket involving bodily injury, property damage, and uninsured motorist claims. His in-house experience provides him with a strong understanding of carrier expectations, claims handling practices, and the importance of clear, timely communication throughout the life of a case.

He has significant trial experience and approaches each matter with a practical and strategic mindset. He emphasizes early case evaluation, disciplined litigation management, and trial readiness, while also seeking efficient and effective resolution when appropriate.

Richard finds deep professional fulfillment in advocating for his clients and navigating the complexities of litigation to achieve meaningful results. He values preparation, responsiveness, and a client-focused approach in every matter he handles.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Florida International University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
