Peter Murphy is a shareholder in the Ft. Myers office. Over the last 40 years, he has handled all areas of personal injury defense with an emphasis on product liability, professional liability and other complex general liability claims. A great many of the cases Peter handles involve claims of significant injury and wrongful death.
An accomplished trial lawyer, Peter has tried well in excess of 200 cases. Some of the insurance carriers he has represented over his years of practice include: CNA, Lloyd’s of London, AIG, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Zurich Insurance Company, State Farm Insurance Company, Allstate Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance Company. Peter recognizes that one of the primary ways to help clients is to make an early determination as to whether a case can or should be settled at the outset, or aggressively defended to achieve the best possible result.
Peter has presented numerous seminars to the firm’s clients regarding major issues in litigation, as well as seminars with respect to tort reform in Florida and changes in the law bearing on the type of claims handled by the firm’s clients.
