Nina Hernandez Zegarra specializes in personal injury protection (PIP), auto glass litigation, and investigating fraudulent insurance claims through examinations under oath and pre-suit claims.

Nina’s legal career began as a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, where she gained invaluable litigation experience by handling numerous trials and evidentiary hearings on cases ranging from misdemeanors to third-degree felonies. Prior to joining Kubicki Draper, she served as a Senior Attorney for Children’s Legal Services with the Florida Department of Children and Families in both Dade and Broward counties. In this role, Nina advocated for the safety and well-being of Florida’s abused, abandoned, and neglected children, honing her litigation skills in dependency and termination of parental rights proceedings.

Nina earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. During law school, she served as a certified legal intern in the juvenile law clinic, was Vice President of the Cuban American Bar Association, and acted as General Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law.

Nina prides herself on being the first person in her family to graduate from college. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends, with a particular goal of visiting all Seven Wonders of the World.
