Michael Scott focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation and handles matters in automobile and motorized vehicles, premises liability, products liability and construction.
Michael’s journey into law began at Florida A & M University where he received his B.S. in Psychology followed by his Juris Doctor degree. During his time in law school, Michael distinguished himself as a leader within the Law Review Organization, where he lead and supervised a team of junior and senior editors.
Michael’s super power is his ability to listen, understanding his clients’ needs on a profound level. With a keen eye for detail, he can often see cracks in his clients’ opponents arguments, strategically navigating cases to his clients’ advantage.
Guided by the principle of identifying and exploiting weaknesses, Michael’s approach sets him apart. His interest and knowledge of technology enhances his practice, allowing him to leverage cutting-edge tools to craft arguments and achieve favorable results. Combining his attributes yields an advocate who is both meticulous and observant. He is someone who will do everything in their power to achieve his clients’ needs.
The best piece of career advice Michael ever received was: “this is the practice of law, you are always practicing and getting better.” Michael continuously strives to refine his skills and deepen his understanding of the legal landscape.
One of his proudest achievements in his career is handling a case where he successfully persuaded the State of Florida to release a man who allegedly violated probation. By meticulously challenging the credibility of the prosecution’s witness, Michael secured the man’s release on his own recognizance, sparing him from potential incarceration.
Education
When not defending his clients, Michael spends his free time enjoying culture (music, arts, cuisine, etc.) and playing video games. Michael is also a computer enthusiast and enjoys tinkering with things like Linux and Artificial Intelligence.
