Lucas John McCormick focuses his practice on personal injury, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction litigation, and electric utility claims as part of one of Kubicki Draper’s complex trial divisions. He emphasizes thorough preparation and clear communication to help clients navigate the challenges of litigation.

Lucas began his career with Kubicki Draper as a law office clerk during college and later served as a summer associate during law school. These experiences provided an early foundation in litigation and familiarity with the firm’s culture before he joined as an associate attorney.

A Miami native, Lucas earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University’s Benjamin L. Crump College of Law. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, with minors in International Affairs and Hospitality Management, from Florida State University.

Lucas comes from a family with deep roots in Miami-Dade County’s legal community. His great-grandfather, grandfather, father, aunt, and uncle all practiced law in the county.
