Joel J. Kelley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in first party property claims, supported by a strong background in insurance matters real estate, and business-related matters. With significant experience in litigation and a genuine passion for the law, Joel is dedicated to guiding clients through every step of the process. His mission goes beyond representation – he strives to ensure clients are informed and empowered along the way.

Joel earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Valdosta State University in 2005 before achieving his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012. While in law school, he earned a certificate in Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting by taking specific courses designed to develop skills in legal analysis, research, oral advocacy, and advanced writing. After graduating, Joel remained in Jacksonville, was admitted to the Florida Bar. He began his careers as an associate at a local civil litigation firm where he primarily focused on personal injury litigation. He later expanded his practice at a regional law firm, where he represented insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and businesses in civil liability and workers’ compensation matters. Today, his diverse experience and client-centered approach serve as a foundation of his practice at KD.

Joel enjoys the outdoors and spends his free time perfecting BBQ methods to share with family and friends, tackling golf courses, and reeling in fresh catch from the Atlantic.
