Estonna Garrett practices general civil litigation with an emphasis on premises and automobile liability.

Originally from Macon, Georgia, Estonna moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1994 and earned her bachelors degree in Political Science with honors from Florida Southern College in 2000. While pursuing her undergraduate studies, she gained valuable industry experience working part-time for an insurance company. In 2002, she went on to earn her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, with a concentration in litigation. During law school, Estonna was actively involved with the Moot Court Board and interned with the State Attorney’s Office, further honing her advocacy skills.

Estonna began her legal career in 2003 as an Assistant Public Defender with the Public Defender’s Office of the 20th Judicial Circuit and in 2006, where she developed a strong foundation in trial work. She then transitioned her focus to civil litigation representing both insurance companies and injured workers in workers’ compensation claims and advocating for victims in personal injury cases. Her trial experience in both criminal and civil courts gives her a distinct advantage – an in-depth understanding of litigation from multiple perspectives.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in May 2003 and Middle District of Florida in 2005, Estonna is an active member of the legal community holding affiliations with the American Bar Association and the E. Robert Williams American Inn of Court in Jacksonville, Florida.

Outside of the courtroom, Estonna loves spending time with her beautiful daughter, Meadow, and their dog, Shiloh. She also has a passion for traveling as well as music, playing both the piano and ukulele. Additionally, Estonna recognizes the importance of self-defense, particularly for women, and is a certified Krav Maga instructor.
