Elier Fernandez focuses his practice in the areas of construction and professional liability matters.
Originally from Havana, Cuba, Elier was raised in Miami, Florida and earned his bachelors degree in political science and international relations from Florida International University (FIU), along with certificates in European, Latin American and Caribbean studies.
In 2012, Elier earned his juris doctor from Saint Thomas University School of Law, where he received a certificate in intercultural human rights law. During law school, he was the awarded the Saint Thomas University School of Law Merit Scholarship, made the Dean’s List multiple times, and interned for the Honorable Judge Abby Cynnamon, of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Before joining the firm, Elier built a background in construction, condominium and homeowners association (HOA) law, including representing design professionals in construction litigation, serving as general counsel for condominium and HOA associations, and advising on construction and corporate law affecting these associations. Prior to his legal career, Elier worked with a real estate investment firm, a City of Miami commissioner, and contributed to several political campaigns.

Elier enjoys the benefits of living in South Florida, fishing, boating and is a certified SCUBA diver. He also enjoys attending local film and arts festivals, cultural events, as well as participating in events that give back to the community.
