Elencia Alcius specializes in the representation and defense of individuals in both pre-litigation and litigation involving automobile and motorized vehicles, as well as insurance coverage matters.
Elencia understands the challenges faced by defendants in lawsuits, particularly when everyday individuals are up against powerful plaintiff law firms seeking damages beyond the limits of their insurance policies. She recognizes the critical need to educate juries, who often assume insurance covers unlimited amounts, while in reality, many of her clients’ policies, include provide coverage as low as $10,000. For her clients, a significant verdict could result in financial devastation, including ruined credit, bankruptcy, and the loss of their hard-earned assets. Elencia’s personal journey, shaped by humble beginnings and hard work, gives her a unique perspective and deep commitment to protecting her clients.
Originally from Haiti, Elencia came to the United States at age twelve and immediately had to work hard to support herself and her brothers. She received a scholarship upon graduation from high school, where she focused on operational management.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Elencia began working with the Department of Children and Families as a Dependency case manager, helping children and families struggling and offering hope to those who felt hopeless. While working full time, Elencia earned her master’s in counseling psychology while she studied for the law school entrance exams. She graduated from law school early and in the top 10% of her class. While in law school, Elencia interned with Women in Distress and the Broward County State Attorneys’ office in Broward County Florida, where she gained valuable experience in litigation.
