Cristina Paneque currently focuses her practice on first party property defense. She has experience litigating cases in both federal and state courts across the country.
Prior to re-joining the firm, Cristina concentrated her practice on securities litigation at a Plaintiff’s firm in New York City. There, she litigated and settled class action lawsuits in district courts across the United States on behalf of shareholders for alleged violations of federal securities laws.
Prior to her tenure in New York, Cristina honed her skills in Miami, in an various areas including: commercial litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, and general civil liability matters.
Cristina earned degrees Boston College Law School and the University of Florida. During law school, she interned with the United Nations in The Hague, Netherlands, where she worked in the office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Additionally, she contributed to Boston College’s Innocence Project and held a position as Secretary of the Latin American Law Student Association.
Licensed to practice in Florida and New York, Cristina holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida and the Eastern District of New York. Beyond her legal practice, Cristina is an active participant in various associations, including the NYSBA Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Miami-Date County Bar Association, and the Hispanic National Bar Association. Fluent in Spanish, she is equipped to serve a diverse clientele.
Education
