He earned his J.D. from St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law in May 2021, where he distinguished himself as an Executive Editor for the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and a member of the St. Thomas University Trial Team. His academic achievements were recognized with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Labor Law during the fall 2019 semester.
Carter also holds a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. His legal career is highlighted by three years of hands-on experience as an Assistant State Attorney with Miami-Dade County, where he successfully managed a broad spectrum of cases, from misdemeanor domestic violence to first-degree felonies punishable by life.
His passion for the law is matched by his interests outside the courtroom; Carter is an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular enthusiasm for football – here’s hoping the Dolphins have a great season! He enjoys golfing, often as a means to unwind and balances his love for gaming with an appreciation for the outdoors, including camping and weekend afternoons at the beach.
