Andrea Teresa Mathwich handles federal and state court litigation matters in various areas of the law, including personal injury and premises liability. She has a strong background in both contractual and law and international trade, having previously clerked for Ryder System Inc., in Washington, D.C., where she worked on contractual issues and negotiations. Additionally, Andrea gained valuable insight into federal matters when she clerked for the Department of Homeland Security.
In 2020, Andrea earned her Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. where she excelled academically and professionally. During law school, she served as both writer and the editor for the Journal of Energy and Environmental Law, and held the position of President of the Latino Law Students Association. She was an active participant in arbitration and negotiation competitions and was honored with the Dean’s Recognition for Professional Development. Andrea is also a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of D.C.
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Andrea completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami where she double-majored in broadcast journalism and political science with a focus on nutrition and physical fitness. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Andrea brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to her legal practice.
