Andrea M. Franklin focuses her practice on first-party and third-party property, insurance coverage, premises and professional liability matters. She brings extensive litigation experience and a results-driven approach to each case she handles.
Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2013, Andrea is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication, with a minor in Political Science, from Florida International University, and her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law.
Before entering the field of insurance litigation, Andrea gained valuable legal experience as a judicial intern in the Miami-Dade County Felony Division, representing indigent minors in family and immigration matters, and serving as Program Assistant to the Director of the Trial Advocacy Program at FIU College of Law.
During law school, Andrea was a member and editor of the FIU Law Review and contributed to a U.S. senatorial campaign in 2010. She was also a speaker at the 2010 Southeastern Writing Center Association Conference, where she presented innovative methods for teaching writing organization to second-language college students.
Andrea has authored several publications, including a two-part series on discovery in complex international litigation, published during her second year of law school, and a later article in the FIU Law Review exploring the legality of red-light-camera programs.
