With more than 12 years of experience, Aliana Payret concentrates her practice on probate, guardianship, and estate planning, with a particular focus on legal matters arising from personal injury and wrongful death settlements. She regularly handles court approval of settlements involving minors and incapacitated adults, probate and guardianship administration, lien resolution, settlement allocations, estate planning, and contested proceedings, helping clients navigate complex legal issues while ensuring compliance with Florida law.
Aliana’s practice is distinguished by her understanding of the intersection between probate law and the insurance industry. She advises insurers, defense counsel, plaintiffs’ attorneys, and families on the probate and guardianship issues that frequently arise during the resolution of injury and wrongful death claims. By combining her knowledge of Florida probate law with a practical understanding of the claims process, she helps facilitate efficient claim resolution, protect the interests of all parties, and ensure settlements comply with applicable legal requirements.
In addition to her legal practice, Aliana is a frequent speaker for insurance professionals, presenting continuing education programs on probate administration, guardianships, wrongful death estates, and court approval of settlements involving minors. She is actively involved in professional and community organizations and has dedicated significant time to pro bono work assisting underserved individuals, including victims of crime, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
Aliana earned her J.D. and International & Comparative Law Certificate from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she received the Pro Bono Award. She earned her B.A. in Sociology, with minors in Business Law and Spanish, from Stetson University. Fluent in English and Spanish, Aliana is committed to providing practical legal solutions and guiding clients through complex probate and guardianship matters that arise in the claims process.
