Stefanie Capps is originally from Florida, and grew up in the Florida Panhandle. As a life-long resident of Florida, she has unique knowledge of the diversity of venues throughout the state. Stefanie learned of her desire to be a trial lawyer early in her life and has worked on honing her skills throughout her education and career. She now uses these skills to represent her clients in cases involving automobile, premises liability and trucking matters.
Stefanie attended the University of Florida where she thrived in the University’s rigorous academic environment, and graduated with two degrees in three-and-a-half years. She then went on to attend the University of Florida Frederic G. Levin College of Law where she competed on the award-winning Trial Team and was a member of the Journal of Technology, Law and Policy.
Prior to joining Kubicki Draper, Stefanie was an associate attorney at another insurance defense firm in Florida where she practiced in a wide variety of insurance defense matters including first-party coverage, premises liability, property damage, automobile accidents, construction defect, and condominium/HOA directors and officers liability. This breadth of experience allows her to aggressively defend her clients with a knowledge of all possible aspects of liability and insurance defense litigation.
Stefanie lives in Fort Myers, Florida with her husband Chad. During her free time, she enjoys attending football games at the University of Florida and boating in the waters of beautiful Southwest Florida. She also enjoys volunteering in the community through a variety of community organizations in which she is a member.
