Mr. Johns was born in Miami, FL and raised in Temple Terrace, FL. After attending high school in Temple Terrace, he went on to major in Accounting at Florida State University. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Johns was initiated into the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In addition, Mr. Johns was very active with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries and Florida State Intramurals. It was during his Business Law course at Florida State that he realized his great interest in the legal field. He graduated cum laude from Florida State in December 2003.

Mr. Johns continued his education at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, FL. While there, he obtained a Masters in Business Administration in addition to his law degree. Mr. Johns consistently made the honor roll while at Stetson and received a book award in his Survey of Florida Probate course. He was a member of the Business Law Society as well as the Real Property Law Association. He graduated with his JD and MBA in May 2007.

During law school, Mr. Johns had the opportunity to serve as a research assistant at Stetson and to clerk for legal counsel with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. at their headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL. Prior to joining Kubicki Draper, he began practicing with a prominent Florida law firm in the area of Insurance Defense. He is an associate attorney in the firm’s Tampa office concentrating in the areas of Corporate and Insurance Defense.
