Mr. Watkins is an experienced litigator and particularly enjoys trying cases to jury verdict. He has done so over sixty times. He specializes in automobile, trucking, wrongful death, UM insurance defense, first party property damage and fraud, premises liability, product liability, environmental and veterinary medical malpractice.
Mr. Watkins often conducts seminars on legal topics including Comparative Negligence in Tort Law, interesting changes in UM/UIM Law, updates on Punitive Damage Law and Bad Faith Insurance Claim Handling.
Mr. Watkins comes from a family of lawyers including his father (a former Jurist and Caribbean Constitutional Law expert), brother, nephew and cousin. Charles and Audrey (wife of 28 years) are very proud of their children. Daughter Camille has continued the family tradition graduating from the University of Miami Law School and is a member of the Florida Bar, and their son Dean is studying Broadcast Journalism at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Watkins serves as a Guardian Ad-Litem, and takes particular pleasure in protecting minors rights in those situations. He served as a mentor for the law students at the Florida International University and founded the MGC Scholarship Fund and served as its Chairman for seven years. He is currently involved as a leader in an up and coming Church in the Pembroke Pines/Miramar areas, and has once again established a scholarship fund to help qualified students.
