Kelly Fernandes joined the Miami office of Kubicki Draper in 2007, focusing her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home liability, and premises liability.
Ms. Fernandes completed her undergraduate education at Northeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with a minor in business administration. During her undergraduate study Ms. Fernandes was a National Dean’s List Award recipient in 2002, and in the same year won second place for a technical essay at the Environmental & Water Resources Engineering Conference in Niagara Falls, Canada, sponsored by the Canadian and American societies of Civil Engineers. She earned her J.D. from St. Thomas University, graduating cum laude in the top 15% of her class. She was a competitor on St. Thomas’s Mock Trial Team, a competitor and vice-president of St. Thomas’s Moot Court Team, and the President of the school’s Business Law Society.
