GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES
Kubicki Draper has extensive experience in representing governmental entities in the area of eminent domain - from the offer phase through closings and judicial proceedings.  Our firm, as outside counsel to the Office of the County Attorney, Broward County, Florida, assisted in the purchase negotiations, prepared all title work, handled the real estate closings, drafted leases, conducted eminent domain litigation and issued plat title opinions in conjunction with the acquisition by Broward County, Florida, of over 900 land parcels plus the acquisition of easements for air rights pursuant to its expansion of the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Such services have also been provided to Indian River County, Florida, with respect to its extension of a major commercial boulevard in Vero Beach and to the City of Vero Beach for its land acquisition project for utility line installation.
