Jason was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, going on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Jacksonville University with a BBA in Economics. Jason began law school at Florida State University’s College of Law in 2013. During his time at FSU, Jason served as a Moot Court Specialist for the National Black Law Students Association, won the Regional and National Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, and served as a Research Assistant to one of his professors. Jason also was an active member of the school’s Moot Court team where he had the chance to compete in various competitions ranging from constitutional law, to antitrust, and prison litigation.
Work-wise, Jason continued working for Kubicki Draper as law clerk in the Tallahassee office after beginning his third year of law school. During this time, he prepared various legal memoranda, motions, client letters, and performed research and analysis on a wide range of matters related to contracts, torts, statutory interpretation, etc. Jason has also volunteered to work for the Florida Legislature, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Leon County Teen Court, and Tallahassee’s Griffin Middle School as a mentor and tutor.
In 2016, Jason became licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and being outdoors with his two dogs.
