Cassandra Smith began her legal career as an assistant state attorney serving in both the Duval and Clay County State Attorney’s Office. As an assistant state attorney, Cassandra honed her courtroom skills and prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, taking several to jury trial. Today, she focuses on handling automobile and motorized vehicle claims.
Cassandra was born and raised in the Jacksonville area. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Sociology and earned her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Cassandra did quite a bit of pro bono work while in law school earning her the Pro Bono Certificate award, as well as other awards such as a Business Law Certificate award and multiple Dean’s List awards.
Cassandra has served as a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section Board of Governors and has been published in the Daily Record about her community service work as a mentor to high school students. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her Australian Shepard Lexi.
