Blake's other areas of practice have included property damage, personal injury and wrongful death cases in negligent security, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation immunity, contractual indemnity, coverage issues, mold related cases, landlord tenant cases, dog bite cases, construction accidents, liquor liability, construction defect as well basic slip and fall and trip and fall cases and trial strategy and analysis.
Blake's experience in medical malpractice and premises liability has exposed her to broad range of topics including taking expert depositions of doctors both experts and treater providers across the country in countless specialties, as well as criminologists, sociologists, neuropsychologists, construction experts, landscape and building code experts, engineers, biomechanical experts, life care planners and vocational experts, among others as well as preparing her own experts in these fields for deposition and trial. Her experience in a spectrum of litigated topics exposed her to complex medical issues including catastrophic injuries such as amputations, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic conditions, chronic pain conditions, gunshot related injuries, neurological injuries among other complicated medical conditions. She has defended wrongful death cases throughout the state and leveraged her knowledge and background for favorable results for her clients.
Blake's philosophy is that regardless of the injuries or perceived sympathy a Plaintiff may have, every case is worthy of the most thorough evaluation and the most aggressive defense for her clients. Evaluating cases early and alerting her clients as to exposure, budget, and chances of success is critical to working with clients to determine how to proceed with strategy. She also recognizes that in the legal world budgeting is critical to allow clients to be aware of the costs and evaluate how to proceed. Your lawsuit may be one of many lawsuits she has defended, but she recognizes for clients, this is their money, their shareholders’ money, their exposure, and their jobs potentially on the line, and she takes every case as seriously as if it were her own business and livelihood. No concern or question is too small to bother her with and she is always available on weekends, evenings, holidays, or anytime for clients’ questions, concerns or updates.
